The estate tax exemption is currently above $11,000,000, but that does not eliminate estate planning needs for
those who do not have a taxable estate. Tax issues still persist, including minimizing income taxes, planning for
basis step-up and the desire to use the expanded estate, gift and GST tax exemptions while maintaining access to
the assets.
