Internal Fraud Prevention - Increasing the Perception of Detection
Length: 1 Hour 44 minutes

Steve Dawson, president of the Dawson Forensic Group details several schemes and frauds he has run across over the years with a focus on how organizations can best stop a fraud before it happens.  Steve goes through the evolution of thought involved in committing fraud and several sobering reminders from real fraud cases about motivation and rationalization.  Not only does Steve give the statistics on who commits fraud and why, he also gives lots of great advice on how to reduce or eliminate the chance of fraud through methods other than a wall of internal controls like check limits and secondary approvals.
